The sweet tooth indulgences work better with me when "Brownies" accompany me !! Thought I was the sole admirer of this sweet delicacy till I saw my son, who otherwise refrains from chocolates became an ardent fan of this rich and moist brownie when I baked it for him. My daughter the die-hard fan of chocolates carried another feather on her cap with pride by welcoming this new "bake at home" brownie..The rest is history when the brownies became a hit among the customers and the demand kept on rising..!!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 x Eggs --------------------------- 100g
- Breakfast Sugar ---------------- 70g
- Butter ------------------------------ 40g
- Dark Chocolate ----------------- 75g
- Flour -------------------------------- 35g
- Chopped Walnuts
METHOD
- Chop walnuts and sprinkle refined flour over them. Keep them aside.
- Whisk eggs and breakfast sugar together till light and fluffy. I do vigorous whisking for 10 minutes or little more.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together on simmer gas for Not more than 1 minute otherwise it can give a burnt smell or else use a double boiler. In both cases, keep on stirring continuously when the gas stove is off so that no lumps are found.
- Sieve refined flour.
- Lightly mix cooled melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture.
- Lightly fold the sieved refined flour in to the above mixture (Don't beat just fold).
- Add chopped Walnuts and mix them well.
- Pour the batter into the greased and lined square cake tin.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED:
- Pre-heat oven at 170°C for 15 minutes.
