Being a chef , indeed it was the wonderful experience to visit the NEFS2019.

It was the first food show of this kind in the state. Participation of more than 200 brands marked it proof of biggest food innovation show case.

Special thanks to Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr Conrad K Sangma , Meghalaya Government and SIAL India , both were the official partner to organise the show. During food show chefs war were also organized for professional and amateur category. The winner chefs from both the categories were awarded in chief minister’s gala dinner ceremony.

Chef Joel from Nagaland won the “Chefs War 2019 “ awarded by cash prize of Rs 1,50,000 , chef Lyngdoh, won the first runner up in the professional category.

Why food show?

To promote the food and culture on the global platform to boost up the food business and economy of north eastern states. A planned initiative to support the native products through such kind of food shows and chef wars. Entrepreneurs were excited to get the perfect platform for sourcing their day to day needs under one roof. Both National and International exhibitors were participated.
